Ketogenic diet.

Cholesterol itself is not the problem, your body makes it.

Agree. It is not the dietary fat and cholesterol that raises ones cholesterol. It is the combination of dietary fat and carbohydrates. In particular, carbs from highly processed foods.

My Doctor is a big proponent of the Ketogenic diet. Having done it for two years, my numbers are basically half of what they were and my A1C is well down too.

The speakers on “Low Carb Down Under” are physicians and researchers from the US, Australia, South Africa, and other countries, as well as others who’ve investigated diets and food politics.

You obviously made your comment without looking at the YouTube channel.

My best friend has hereditary high cholesterol. I’m talking like 350 at one point. She has paid privately from time to time to check for buildup. She did not want statins.

Finally she started to get some buildup so now at 55 the doctor wanted her to start taking a statin everyday. She started taking it once a week on Friday. On her next check she had lowered somewhere around 30 points. So she just takes one per week and exercises and eats right. As far as I know it keeps dropping.

I am 73 years old and walk 3 miles a day with my little blue heeler Shadow. My doctor tried statins 15 years ago or so but I had a reaction to them. Over the years my doctor has changed and read the reviews that show that statins don’t provide any real good. The only meds I get from him are generic (20 yr old) blood pressure control meds.
