Democratic Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin received a cold welcome from her constituents last week after she gave her support for an impeachment inquiry targeting President Donald Trump.
Slotkin and six other freshman Democrats wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post late last month announcing support for an impeachment inquiry over Trump’s now-infamous phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The call prompted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to launch an official impeachment inquiry after months of pressure from her caucus.(RELATED: Adam Schiff Accuses Trump Of ‘Mafia-Like Shakedown’ Of Ukrainian President)
Of course she did...Ms Slutkin is a democrat.
“Myself and six other members of the freshman class in Congress, all former military or former CIA, wrote a joint op-ed and came out in support of an impeachment inquiry,” Slotkin said during a town hall. “And I wanted you to know from me — I wanted you to know from me.”
Slotkin’s comments were greeted with mostly boos and a smattering of cheers. At one point, a constituent told Slotkin that the freshman congresswoman lost her support when she turned against the president.
“When you fell of the cliff for me was when you joined the coup against our president,” the woman said.
Another man ripped Slotkin and Democrats for rushing to impeach Trump.
“What’s the rush with the impeachment?” the man asked. “Impeachment is a serious thing. This would be only the fourth president in history to be impeached. And to try to impeach him on something like this is really stretching it.”
Slotkin represents a district which Trump won by 4% in 2016, and she is expected to be a top 2020 target for Republicans as they aim to take back the House.
She looks like an older version of the Swedish brat Thunberg.

Only two presidents have been impeached, Andrew Johnson and William Clinton. Both were acquitted. Nixon was never impeached because he resigned before the vote to impeach was made.
What an indictment of the media & the Left. The only President at risk of impeachment and the one who is giving 100% of his efforts for America.

She is in a very conservative, very pro-2nd amendment district, I don’t know how she was even elected. There had to have been some democrat tampering. I’d be surprised if she won re-election next year.

I thought that Nancy said if we have to lose the house, that’s OK, Trump is such a danger that getting rid of him is more important than retaining the house. So some of these Dems will be thrown under the bus.

Couple more reports like this and you will (hopefully) see PDJT begging them to move forward with a Congretional vote... MAYBE then the ‘Great American Public’ will rumble its disapproval of the idiot Congress.
I think that is why Pelosi is afraid to call for that vote now, has no idea what it will produce but I feel she is ‘smart enough’ to know it ain’t gonna be pretty.
Just like all the bloviating about 35 R Senators WILL vote YES, why not McC make the 35 stand up and be counted.

I live in a very conservative district. But, every now and then we get a Democrat with ads showing a hound dog and a pickup truck, wearing a flannel shirt/coat (the Dim, not the dog), carrying a shotgun, and talking about hunting and fishing stuff. They run the ads every few minutes for a couple months. They are usually ex military. Low info voters (suckers) fall for it every time.
She probably actually won.
Her loss of support now comes from supporting the stupidest political idea ever in the history of the world.
