Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder’s patience ran out with Jay Gruden.
Gruden got more time than any other coach under Snyder, but it didn’t pay off. Gruden was fired hours after losing to New England, in the middle of his sixth season after a terrible start to the year. Washington fell to 0-5 after a 33-7 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday. Washington had been outscored by 78 points in its first five games. Gruden was 35-49-1 as Washington’s coach. He’s the first head coach fired this season.

Any sports team that calls Washington D.C. home, deserves to lose.

Gibbs couldn’t do anything with it either. I vote to strip Snyder of ownership and send the franchise to the Pine Ridge reservation.
And he'd still be throwing everyone else under the bus to excuse his crappy coaching.
Browns fan here. The losses were bad enough, but saying things like "I didn't hire an offensive coordinator because the talent was so bad I didn't want to put someone else through that", while you are still the coach of the team and those same players you just insulted are still playing for you, was the kind of thing that made so many here despise him.

Dan Snyder is the worst owner in the NFL No clue how to build a team. No clue what so ever.
THANK YOU! No Coaches want to come to Washington and coach this team with Daniel Snyder as the Owner. For over 10 years he and his flunkies in the front office have run this Team right into the ground.
The sad fact is when more people show up in your own house to support the opposing team, then it isn’t the Coaches, it’s the owner and management.

The Cowboys under Garrett are rebuilding with young players and a handful of vets. Barring injuries to key players, the team will have a winning season.
Firing Gruden was long overdue. If he wants to work I'm sure his brother can find a place for him with the Raiders.
The rest of the season is a write-off.
But when Snyder dangles $5M a year out there, I'm sure he can find someone willing to do the job.

Garrett is not a very good coach.
Garrett is a good “Jerry Puppet”.
