When you invite someone into your home, you might consider them to be guests. But what happens when you want them out and they choose to stay?

No rent paid. No lease.

You still must go to court. Meanwhile, you may be out of a home...

She called the cops.

“Cory said you can’t kick us out. You’ll have to get us evicted. We can stay for as long as we want,” said Dubuque. “The police were there when he said this. They said, ‘Yep. If you invited him in.’”

What a dumb bunny for inviting an unknown tree trimmer and his family to stay in her house. That heatstroke was the "in". Guess she doesn't own a gun to help invite them to leave.

I refuse to believe the laws are so stupid that someone can take over your home with a simple invitation. I know it’s nuts out there, but it can’t be this crazy.

Invite another man over to push him out. Then lock the door.

Unfortunately if you create a landlord/tenant situation (money need not be paid) you have to go through legal means to get people out. It is never a good idea to issue an open ended invitation for people to stay in your home.

The criminals are in charge. Just look at any judge: they’re one of them...

And she would have been arrested. Totally nuts but true. My sister went through something similar.

You’d be surprised.

Crazy wife of a I know changed the locks on the house after he left following an argument.

She wouldn’t let him back in. Cops called. Said it was legal and it went to court forcing him to live in a motel/extended stay through it all.

Besides laws being crazy, so are people. Best to avoid them I guess. Some states have very crazy laws.

Same thing with those inviting ‘fugees’ to stay in their country. ‘Please use our daughters as you care to!’
Liberalism is a suicide cult.

Too many sleazy lawyers are ruining the nation. Common sense has flown out the window.

My 83-year old neighbor supports her burned-out 53-year old druggie son in a house that she owns. The son has now invited a male "friend" to move in and be his "caregiver", even though the son has not been deemed disabled.

Neighbor wants the guy out, but since she lets her worthless son live in the house, and the guy was invited by the son, it's debatable what recourse she would have. She's already suffered a heart attack due to the stress caused by the son.

She has two sons 38 and 40.....

Seems like simple solution....grab arms and feet and flying out the door you go...

".... but it can't be this crazy...'.

Oh, yes it is.

A former high school classmate's younger sister invited a homeless family to sleep at her place over the weekend.

When it was time to leave, they wouldn't. So she called the cops. No luck. The homeless family knew how to game the system and they stayed...for as long as the liked.

Two years later they were still there. She quit paying the mortgage and moved out herself.

She lost her home because she stupidly invited them in to stay the weekend. It may be crazy but that was the law in Arizona.

Learned her lesson the hard way.
