We are not alone. Millions of voters will avoid the federal elections if betrayed on the Second Amendment.

I love that graphic, and 100% agree. If you want to disarm the common man - in any way, shape, or form, then you must first disarm yourself and any security. Lead by example or STFU.

Hint - it might as well be STFU because I'm not going to disarm, period.

Laz speaketh the truth. He is just predicting the future, correctly as I see it. If President Trump caves on “gun control” he is more than likely toast in 2020, because too many deplorables will sit out the election. (I think that President Trump knows this.)

"That is the dumbest statement I’ve seen here recently. If Trump don’t do what you want, you’re going to give it to a Dem. You are an idiot."

You should see the modern sporting rifle discussion boards. If Trump signs a gun universal background check or red flag bill, he will lose the 2020 election.

And by the way, you have cooties. ;\

I hear you, and I agree. It is a sad day that we should even have a concern that a Trump administration would even consider compromising on our rights.

In 2020 President Trump could win by a landslide, or he could lose to a democrat propped up by election fraud. A major factor in this will be the amount of backbone he shows on 2nd Amendment issues. Taking a pro 2nd Amendment stance will certainly lose the extreme leftists - but let's face it, he never had them and never will. Showing any weakness on 2nd Amendment issues will certainly cost him support on the right.

So when it comes to "gun control" he has nothing to gain by signing anything even remotely anti-2nd Amendment, and everything to lose. I believe he and his advisers are far too shrewd to have missed that.

Well if he caves? You better dig in and draw ammo cause you will lose. The Dems will will do more than Trump ever will.

If red flag laws become the law of the land voting probably won’t matter much at that point anyway because the shooting will be starting shortly thereafer IMO.

Thanks, Taxman!

For the rest of you readers, it’s best to send a nice, pretty snail mail. But for those of you who don’t want to bother with a good, old fashioned letter, use the page behind this link to send a message to the White House.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/

Make it concise and polite. State your desire in the first sentence. [For example, “I trust, Mr. President, that you will not sign any document supporting red flag laws or universal background check laws.”] Do it now!

Agreed! They'll do it more suddenly and violently without the subtle, incremental finesse used to date.

And how will people of great means do after an impatient, angry tidal wave of hard socialism? It's strange that so many people in the suburbs feel more threatened by their rural and small town neighbors than by socialist tyrants, but maybe many people have really become so soft and deluded.

I don't want to see horrible things happen, but an incremental march to communism or fascism would leave less chance of any way out. Some of us see the effectiveness of that slower path towards evil so far. It's been mind bending.

If universal background checks and red flag accusation orders are passed into law with our continued votes for those who betrayed us, we will only be watching our fellow Americans slowly become accustomed to the new regime towards our destruction.

The lives of many millions of Americans have already been damaged by laws and policies supporting false accusations without proper process.

Hey, Taxman. How about this for form, Sir?

[Header information, etc.]

Dear Mr. President:

I am low income trailer trash, have held many jobs and was an enlisted rank weekend warrior in a combat platoon for a few years. I am old and un-stylish but have not seriously offended anyone or broken any laws. Please don’t sign any universal background check law, because such law would allow the Democrats to implement a registry of owners of firearms for future confiscation.

Please don’t sign any red flag law, which law would allow neighborhood socialists to violate our civil rights without any remedy for our kind or our smelly, redneck, Walmart-shopping families. Believe it or not, we are human beings, too. Besides, what would folks like you do without gluttonous consumers like us?

Very Sincerely Yours,

Beetle Bailey

You are an idiot.

Much better than a sheeple. Waddle on to your slaughter. Baaaa Baaaa
Talk about idiots. Are you stupid or cowardly to think we're going to vote our way out of this cancer that is DC. President Trump is merely a bump in the road to our serfdom.

Even if Trump doesn’t gave and even IF he is re-relected he can’t be president for ever and I wouldn’t want that, we’re not that kind of a country or people. That said we aren’t going to be able to vote our way out of what comes after he’s gone. Then the shooting will be belt fed.

I don’t think it’s time to panic...yet. I’m “okay with” my optimism and I have have a healthy skepticism as well...However, I believe that Trump will have a second term and that he’ll have a damned good 2nd term. Good enough that I would vote for him a third time if I could. Trump’s first three years worth of progress have been impeded and we know why. I want to see what he can do once they have been sufficiently beaten back, drained from the swamp, sent to jail, etc.

I tweet to his account often - i believe he has folks sifting through them to get a feel for what we think...
latest one:

@realDonaldTrump No new Red Flag laws - we cannot trust government types to not abuse them (as you well know).
The DOJ version of ‘expanded background checks” pretty much pads an ever-growing federal gun registry which paves the way for future despots to “keep us safe” by disarming us and leaving us at their mercy...
Our guns are the only real obstacle to those who would subjugate us and by now, Mr. President, you should know their intents very well.

Laz,

I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Trump likes to bury bad Dim ideas by saying he’d consider them if packaged with something they’ll never do.

The media, including Breitbart, loves to report this as Trump about to betray us all (because they’d love to have a “Read my lips” meme to run with).

E.g. DACA for the wall.

Then of course the Dims don’t trade (their) strategic loss for (their) tactical win, and life goes on until the next manufactured crisis.

It seems intended to show his willingness to do a deal and highlight the Dims’ fanaticism. It is not a demonstration for the already decided on our side or theirs.

This worried me the first three times or so too, but he’s done this Lucy and football trick to them dozens of times now.
