RIP and prayers for the family. My favorite singer, had some great rock albums,in his self-titled debut, No Control and Can’t Hold Back. Life for the Taking is good too.
Blue collar guy at heart, loved his fan, loved to perform. And he loved his family.
I’ve going to be playing his songs all day today reliving those memories of the late 70’s and 80’s. God bless the Money Man.

Yes. Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskel) was supposedly shot five times and saved by his vest and belt buckle.

Just watched it last night as he went through his cancer battle, guess the episodes were taped months ago. The next morning he’s gone. I won’t be able to watch the rest of the episodes.
He had quite the tough battle. The cancer, the heart surgery, the pneumonia. Hope he was pain free at the end.

I saw him back in the day on a double bill with UFO. It was a real mismatch but he played his heart out.

Was Michael Schenker with UFO at that show? If so, you got to see THE MASTER of guitar in my opinion.

Usually the album version of Two Tickets To Paradise is the one played on the classic rock stations nowadays but when the song broke the single mix was the one that got played, and if you listen to it now, after all these years, it’s quite noticeably different than the album mix.

I noticed that years ago, in fact it’s almost as if two versions were recorded and the single version was chosen. Very astute observation on your part.

“Was Michael Schenker with UFO at that show?”

He was indeed. It was 1978 or 1979 if I remember right. At the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.

Rest in peace Money Man! One of my all time favorites. He has a TV show on AXS TV. The man is hilarious. The new season started last night where he was talking about his cancer and how he was going to beat it. Man that didn’t take long! RIP...

Saw him in concert many years ago. It was a venue that probably held 800 people. It was one of the best, most intimate, Rock and roll concerts I’ve ever attended.

Those were Schenker’s finest years with UFO. In the early days of joining the band, he didn’t even speak English!
I met him in Philly when he played the Trocadero early 90’s. Very gracious and when he released the album Thank You, my name was included on the cover along with 500 other fans.

“Hello Chicago! Would you please welcome from England: U-F-O!”

You were lucky to see him in his prime, my friend.

Indeed, a true story. That is Hugh!

“You were lucky to see him in his prime, my friend.“

Sure was. The mid 70s-80s were the Golden Age for rock shows IMO and I saw a heck of a lot of them.
