Kroger Joins With Walmart: No More “Open Carry” In Stores

Kroger, the United States’ largest supermarket chain, announced a corporate decision Tuesday about customers who choose to open carry in their stores – don’t do it unless you are a law enforcement officer. This announcement follows on the heels of Walmart’s decision to ask the same of its customers where the law allows guns to be openly carried.

I’m thinking that the appropriate response is a class action lawsuit. If a private business can deprive you of your Constitutional right to carry, what other rights can they deprive you of?

I’ve never seen anyone open carry in any store in any state I’ve ever been to. I think you’d run the risk of being mistaken for an armed robber.

These stores are private property. If a private property owner does not want guns on the premises frankly I believe that’s his right.
