Colleen Dowdall, a resident of the Knights Inn Motel on September 15, said she witnessed the struggle and testified during Cleaves criminal trial.
She looked at me and she said: Help me, help me, help me. And I had the phone in my hand and I told her Im on the phone right now calling the police, she said. I looked Mateen in the eyes, he didnt say one word.”
I have seen my share of White athlete worshipers. But as someone said.”You lay with the dogs you get fleas.
That would be the NBA.
Astounding... The jury should be investigated. They clearly were either paid off or they were threatened with bodily harm.
No individual with any common sense can watch that video and not figure out that woman was being forced against her will to return to that hotel room.
Without reading the trial transcripts we don’t know what the jury heard. Because of that I won’t blame the jury.
But after what I’ve been reading about the trial, I bloody well will blame that DA.
This kidnapping and rape of a white woman by a black man occurred in 2015 and did not go to trial until four years later? Video proof and an eyewitness just a few feet away? Gotta be a Holder’s People jury for the nullification to have occurred. Still time for justice to be done.
O.J. Simpson is puzzled — why the uproar over this acquittal? No evidence that Cleaves did anything wrong...
I think that’s exactly it. There were 9 women on the jury, too.
It’s not new evidence. It was shown at trial.
Double jeopardy forecloses charging a person for a different crime under the same set of facts in the same jurisdiction. I suppose there could be a trial for civil rights or something under Federal law, though I doubt the DoJ is interested in extending its remit at this time.
Get some strong hemp......

[A witness testified that she saw the woman try to escape a room at a Knights Inn. But a police officer summoned to the motel said the woman never indicated that she was assaulted.
The woman testified in December that she never said no to Cleaves but I told him I wanted to go home. They met at a golf event that day, and she later sent him a text message to join her and others at a bar.
Defense attorney Frank Manley has called it a case of regret, not rape.]
Rapist basketball is a new sport. The balls are lighter and you don’t have to change your shoes.
Doesn’t matter.
My guess is that she did not want to destroy her relationship with her then boyfriend by filing rape charges and making it known that she had gone with a strange man to his hotel room. Perhaps she broke up with that boyfriend or squared it with him. Which is when she filed rape charges.
It’s women. They seem to take that first step into trouble and then don’t understand what they got themselves into. Might not be trouble-just planned.
Sadly, they probably thought the women deserved it. Crazy time we are living.
I hope the women who was raped can live a normal life and put that behind her. Too often, I think people strike out and try to control their lives by mistreating themselves after incidents like that. (excessive tats, piercings, drugs and other destructive behavior). The most successful at putting this type of horrific event behind them are those who turn to God and/or some really worthwhile, humanity helping cause.
“No means no,” unless you’re black man kidnapping and raping a white woman. What kind of nonsense on stilts is that?
Mud shark.
I believe they asked the same question to Desiree Washington shortly before they convicted Mike Tyson of raping her and found the answer to be irrelevant once she decided she didn't want to have sex.
WTF!?
How, in God’s name, does someone get so crazy that they can do something like that?
It must be a sign of the apocalypse.
