BAILEY, Colo.- The search for a mountain lion continues after it attacked an 8-year-old boy in Bailey Wednesday night.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife says the child was playing on a trampoline in his yard when he heard a friend calling from down the street. As he ran towards his friend's home, the mountain lion pounced, grabbing the boy by the head.

The boy's brother was also outside and heard a commotion. He ran to his father and told him something didn't sound right. His father rushed down the street and found the mountain lion on top of his son. The mountain lion left the boy when it saw the older male running towards it.

Wildlife officials searched through the night using a dog team and are continuing the search Thursday, CPW said.

The only way to deal with this is by outlawing mountain lions. That will fix the problem.

A 160 lb. male lion was killed a couple of weeks ago in Laclede, ID by a Federal trapper after it had killed 5 domestic goats. It had been tagged in the spring of 2018 near Chewelah, WA some 60 miles from where it was killed. At that time it weighted 150 lbs.

A Mountain lion recently attacked a child in a city park in Leavenworth, Washington.

Increased attacks indicate a growing predator population.

In January, concerns about Mountain lions took center stage at a WDFW Commission meeting in Spokane. Residents of northeast Washington in particular raised concerns about what they believe to be a growing Mountain lion population.

We can thank liberals for the current rash of wild animal attacks. When I grew up, there was nothing like this going on. As a young boy, I could play almost anywhere I wanted to out in the country without a worry in the world.

Now, libs have given bears, lions, wolves, etc., greater value than people, most alarmingly, greater value than young children. As a result, it’s not safe in our cities and towns any longer (I live in the city and people see lions all the time around here), much less out in the country. Libs are the scum of the earth.

I ask, would anyone prefer having a lib living next to him, or would he prefer a grizzly bear living in close proximity? A person might as well prefer the bear, because, wherever he lives, a lib will always do all he can to make your life as miserable and dangerous as he possibly can.

All this proves one thing: a reasonable person should not suffer a lib to live near him, or far from him.

Now, I don’t have to spell it out: Anyone with a brain can figure out what that means. The time is near. It is announcing its arrival on every front.

When you move into their territory they see you as food. There is a reason the pioneers wiped them out.

Stalking lion puts fear into family... Evergreen – A mountain lion narrowly missed taking a bite out of Shaffer Warner’s legs as the man rushed through his front door on a recent night.

A week earlier, the mountain lion crushed the family’s cat in its jaws in front of Warner’s wife Carrie as she pummeled it with firewood a few feet from their home ..

But what disturbs the couple the most is that the big cat has crouched outside the bedroom window of their 6-year-old son Schylure and stared at the boy.

“We’re scared out of our minds,” Carrie Warner said. “There is something very strange about the way this lion is hunting us. I’m at the end of my rope.”

The Warners are worried that, just as a boy was mauled by a mountain lion near a popular trail in Boulder about a month ago, their nightly tormentor will eventually attack their son or them.

Lions seeing humans as food sources.

Nearly every night , the mountain lion has returned, walking on their roof, perching on a branch outside their home and once jumping on top of their van.

Cougars are supposed to be furtive and unseen. These events indicate that the population is growing too large. Time to cull the herd a little.

When I lived in SE Idaho one of my patients treated me to some mountain lion jerky he had made. It was delicious.

UN Wildlands project unleashes its war on America....

Under the Wildlands Project, at least 50 percent of the land area of America would be returned to “core wilderness areas” where human activity is barred…

the only way to fix it is to make mountain lion attacks illegal- that will stop those dastardly lions!
