It’s not always wise on Windows Server since it is the only way to get on a virtual server.
Do you have any thoughts on a way I can get updates to install? Even if I have to only do a few at a time, anything is better than where it is now. Thanks!
Thank you
There are lots of potentially problems hanging around.
First update your antivirus and Spybot , plus other security programs you like.
Get it off the internet and run them. I usually run Spybot to clean out caches first, then run other security programs to see if they find anything. Be sure to empty the trash.
Then find a friend/relative that has really fast Internet and do your updates at their place. An empty Starbucks May work. Just depends on their speed.
The download is often the slowest part, then the lack of space on the HD, then bugs under the sheets. All will slow down updates on older systems.
I was jokingly going to say it means you are infected with many viruses. However, my wife said that if the update doesn’t load it is because you are infected with many viruses. That was without me bringing up the subject. She was relating what she saw on the news to me.
I remember going to a computer expo many decades ago, where Microsoft introduced the feature allow one PC to control another. I remember thinking, “this won’t go well”.
