I would use that situation as an opportunity to teach compassion, tolerance, and acceptance of opposing viewpoints to my children.

It is a great disservice to children for them to grow up believing that there is only one set of ideas in the world.

Surprisingly the liberal daughter-in-law is ignoring the very principle of diversity which liberals supposedly hold as a critical aspect of progressive society. How can your children grow up in a "diverse" society if you shield them from people with other opinions?
