Too bad Apple is the only company making non-Android phones. Picking Apple is picking the lesser evil.

Soon. See post 34 (H/T to Still Thinking) or link below:

Yeah, I’m serially considering it too. I’d like to see them get a little higher spec on the phones, but definitely interested.

“...a problem caused by a cheap Chinese battery.”

Even if you could buy an “OEM Apple” battery on line, you don’t really know if it’s OEM. I was looking for a OEM Samsung FastCharger for my phone. There were multiple OEM Samsung chargers available thru Amazon. Butreading the reviews...you realize there were MULTIPLE frauds with OEM labels that quickly failed. Bought a Samsung brand thru the local Verizon Store. If it fails...I know were to go.

I am not a techie per se...but i know there are different os’s for smart phones...but it is an investment of time and effort..and some of the android or apple features may be missing....but i hate the way these companies lock their users into their pay schemes.

Oddest thing. Our 2019 F150 has a special little slot under the little rubber mat at the bottom of the console cup holder beside the gear shift. If your key dies, pull out the rubber mat, insert the dead key, and I think it reprograms it. Also think you need the other key to do it. The cup holder is an odd place for a e-key rejuvenator though. No electronic leads or anything, just a deep indentation on the plastic.

I had heard of them last year, but they still have nothing available. I expect to get at least another year out of my current phone so hopefully they will have something more than vaporware when I do.

Every few years Apple does a stunt like this, and every few years people get mad as hell, and then, just like clockwork, Apple will again post record profits.

So, yawn...

Farmers and small businessman have been pushing for this for at least a decade. John Deere is one of the worst offenders

Been reading about that BS for some time, and my former employer also owned a farm, he liked to talk about the problem.

More like renting than owning.

The non-RFID filters fit, but the software won’t let it dispense water without it.

And I want all my software to be cloud apps!!!

And never to actually own anything.

You take your BMW to a Ford dealer?

I see problems ahead.

So why does everyone keep going out an buying from Apple?

As a long term shareholder was good for me!

No longer holding APLE, this is a bit too much.

What is left? A regular phone to make calls.

Many of us get through life just fine with that.

Third-party repair sites already are doing this?

Do not know, would not be surprised.
