Playboy had a nice run. Maybe it’s time to close down the magazine. Preserve the brand for clothing and maybe official parties at nightclubs following a “retro” theme that particular evening. The Playboy brand still has a little value left but its heyday is over.

Makes sense really.
The old Playboy of naked pictures is no longer a viable business model, whether on paper or behind a paywall. Not when naked pictures are given away free in limitless quantity including old ones from Playboy.
