Ah yes, Greenville was where I, a Yankee transplant, also landed.
But I eventually figured out that the “real” upstate SC is in all those little towns outside the urban centers. I picked one near Clemson and it is very pleasant to be here.
You’ve got mail!
:-)
St. George is great - thought about moving to that area myself. And it’s a hop skip and jump from Zion, one of the most incredible places on Earth.
Ya I live in Western NC.in a little town called Burnsville it’s 35 miles Northeast of Asheville.Mount Mitchell is located in our countie which is Yancey, it’s the tallest mountain East of the Mississippi at 6684 feet it’s truly a beautifull place and is very conservative with the exception of a few retirees from Florida the weather here is auesome we have all four season’s with the high temperture in the summer of about 82 and in the winter about the coldest it gets is a few nights of sub zero temperatures in the dead of the winter. I don’t be live I would like living somewhere that the climate was consistent it’s either getting warmer or getting cooler here on a daily basis and the tree colors in the fall is just beautiful.we have lots of trout streams and white tale deer..if you love nature and the outdoors this is a place worth considering
Do you know what the population # is, and is that year round?
Thanks in advance if you have the info, this place always was an interesting place.

You are thinking of Twin Falls. Despite the Chobani plant, it is still a mostly American town.
I read the whoel thred and still cain’t figur out what a vichel is??
probably because you have more “typos than I do”
oops
You must like all things potatoes or you will be shunned : )
Post Falls is a very popular destination for what seems like everyone, lately. Just up the road, 45 miles to the East on I 90 is the Silver Valley. Been my home for 72 years. There is a string of small towns along the South Fork of the C d’S river. (Kingston, Pinehurst, Smelterville, Kellogg, Osburn, Wallace, Silverton, Mullan) On the face of it, it is a “Democratic Stronghold,” but Shoshone County has been voting for the Republican candidate for decades. Lotsa MAGA gear worn here.
“I solved that problem by moving to upstate South Carolina.”
She grew up in Mississippi and has no interest in moving back into the south.

Idaho does have lots of potatoes — BUT Manhattan, Montana grows really great seed potatoes...every summer scores of empty semi trucks with potato trailers (ALL with Idaho license plates) line up and get loaded with MONTANA potatoes...
Idaho is a nice place, the SE part is clean and is full of Mormons.
I think I would prefer to live in the panhandle area or around Lake Pend Oreille, which has a Navy submarine testing facility BTW.
If anyone should decide upon Montana be sure to move to the EAST side of the Rockies and it’s very grey all winter on the western part of the state.
Bfl living!

Looks like you can’t figure out what a Keyboard is either./s
Actually, a Vichel is what you put your Covfefe in for safe keeping.
Please note that the word “covfefe” does not show up as an incorrect spelling with FR’s Word check function.
