All I can say is that if I had been the grandfather, I would have been over the edge next chasing after the child. Life after that would have had no meaning and I would rather die than live with that on my conscious.

a lot of so-called adults think it is ever so clever and funny to abuse children. my ex’s cousin once did a ‘magic’ trick in which he ended up with some money I had given my daughter. he stuffed it in his pocket and the family laughed. my daughter didn’t (she cried when he wouldn’t give her her money back), and neither did I.

I was pilloried by the family, and he wasn’t allowed in my house again....but the kid got her money back.

Just out. It was the daughter of a South Bend police officer:

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (WNDU, AP) - A South Bend police officer's 1-year-old daughter died after falling 11 stories from a cruise ship docked in Puerto Rico.

Police said Monday that the toddler's grandfather told officers he lost his grip while holding her outside a window on the Freedom of the Seas. He was identified as Salvatorre Anello.

The incident occurred Sunday afternoon at the Panamerican dock in the capital of San Juan.
