The problem is that the rest probably agree with them. Did anyone on the team disagree or criticize the two players actions? Lemme guess, probably not. The support it by their silence.

Also, I would like a show of hands from all the players, coaches and support staff who are proud to be Americans and who are not.

Since one or two idiots forced the spotlight on the issue, it is now their obligation to respond. They brought it up, we didn’t.

That is why people should keep their mouths shut.

Rapinoe plays for the Rainbow Flag, not the US Flag.

Hey bonehead, check out the complete story of christian Jaelene Hinkle. You can ostrich your head in the stand or realize she was cut from the team because she stood for her Christian principles by a ‘married’ lesbian coach who was undoubtedly looking to appease her players. And not a damn one of them, or any prominent US soccer personality, stood up for Jaelene. This team, and US soccer, are an arm of the far left. But if you like cheering for them, have at it.

There’s only a couple of them who make their politics an issue. Why do you lump them all together as they. You are not much different than a prog when you paint with such a broad brush like they do. Just sayin.

And those politics are exploited by the media to influence millions of girls.

That is the number one reason I cannot support the team. It’s not so much about Rapinoe herself, as the poisoning influence she and the coach have on the team.

And they are probably extremely embarrassed to admit it. Glass is half empty now for me and other Americans. The team must explain themselves. They wandered into the political wasteland and now they are lost. Now they need to explain themselves.

So, did other team members or the coach criticize them? Did they say that they disagreed with them? Support by omission.

The idiots shinned a spotlight on the issue. Now the rest of the team now have an obligation to respond.

See, here is the issue — as a team, they need to focus on the game and not have any distractions. This is a major distraction and as a coach, I would have reprimanded the two. They are there to play a game, not play politics.

I would note that the four most populous countries on the planet: China, India, The USA and Indonesia, all pretty much suck at Men's Soccer.

Correlation does not mean causality.

The US is different from the other 3 in that it does have robust youth soccer programs. So the US could create a dominant Mens team, but the best athletes migrate towards more popular sports as they get older.

I was not the best, but I did play competitive soccer into my 20's. I played on 'select' teams in my teens and when I was 14 I was probably on the best team I ever played on. I would say probably between 50%-60% of that team went on to receive college scholarships and the majority of them were not for soccer.

Tobin Heath’s cross on a silver platter comes to mind. That turned out to be the game winner.

There is not one facet of our lives that has not been politicized.

Did the rest of the team, criticize the actions of the two. If they did, please provide a link.

A reasonable guess is no. So, by their silence, they support the actions of the two.

This is why people should keep their mouths shut.

They problem is to become a good soccer player in this country, you have to spend an arm and a leg to go to an academy.

In countries like Brazil, they find raw talent on the streets and development them, hoping to make a profit when they sell them to other clubs.
