DuckDuckGo.com/donations is the link. It shows where they have donated.
Followed your link. Thanks. I haven’t heard of the organizations listed. And, frankly, am not going to spend the time it would take to investigate them.
I like duckduckgo. It has given me no reason to distrust statements made on their web site.
Hmmm... that’s true.
From the startpage start page. Scroll down....
How we made search private
You cant beat Google when it comes to online search. So were paying them to use their brilliant search results in order to remove all trackers and logs. The result: The worlds best and most private search engine. Only now you can search without ads following you around, recommending products youve already bought. And no more data mining by companies with dubious intentions. We want you to dance like nobodys watching and search like nobodys watching.
Well, you have stuned my bieber, fer shure, fer shure!
Seriously, I had no idea - I have been using Ixquick/Startpage for years, and have never been curious enough to go where you went.
Thanks!
HST, is there a search engine that does not pay/use Google?
I hate to be a party to enriching those anti-FReedom, anti-American, anti-Christian noxious, venomous LIEberal assholes at Google, and would gladly use another private search engine not connected to any LIEberal clan, coven or cult!
I sincerely hope that there are one or two of them out there somewhere!
re bad search results on DDG:
use their feedback page to tell them. My hunch is they refine their algorithms if enough people complain
When you get to the page, scroll down a bit and you will see that One American Network covered this as well. I’ve already dropped DuckDuckGo.
