Very long winded, but I had no idea just how brutal and bloody the fighting was on the Eastern Front, or how many millions died in that front. By some accounts, 10 million Soviet deaths, and 4 million Nazi German deaths.
This account of the Eastern Front went a long way towards explaining the post WW II Soviet attitudes and actions towards the West.

It is now known it was a Churchill’s idea to offer USSR East Europe and half of Germany to insure it would continue to participate at war after Nazi eviction from mainland Russia.
An idea to join US forces with the Nazi was a pure lunacy when.
Russia’s immense size was the biggest factor, the lands the Nazis seized in the early days of Barbarossa exceeded the combined land masses of all the other countries. The Russians could simply fall back behind the Urals and let the Nazis exhaust their supply lines.
American school children and college students are taught disinformation and the most extreme foolishness of Western Decadence. They are taught to scorn TRUTH, to hate the USA and Christianity, to silence opinions and facts that disagree with the groupthink of the ruling class, and to embrace the absurdities of the Western Left.
Stalin had Russia in a state of war for 10 years before the German invasion. The Soviets committed a genocide in Ukraine and Belorussia. They invaded Finland, they conspired with the Nazis to invade Poland.
How many Soviet war dead were shot in the back by their own officers? How many died in purges? How many in reprisals from Ukrainians?

How about this. Your man Stalin signs a nonaggression pact with his evil twin. He then invades Poland and kills, you know, tons of people which was old hat for him. Oh, don’t forget about Finland you folks invaded them too. You were all on board that Axis train until it started to run you over.
In the meantime, your boy Stalin purges his most experienced Generals, cause purges were his thing, so that when the Nazis invade, his Army is leaderless and feast for the slaughter. Not to mention the scientists and engineers and others who were purged so that you had no modernization of your military of capability to do so.
Then, of course, there was that time when Joey S. realizes that it is a great idea to suddenly side with the U.S. and U.K. to, you know, survive.
Oh, and how about the millions of dollars of food and equipment that we sent your way to keep your arses in the war. SPAM anyone?
Of course, your tactics were just phenomenal. Throw those soldiers into the meat grinder. You only lost what, 20-21 Million tops?
