You cannot expect to have “free speech” rights at a site owned by someone else. Having said that, original posters often put quite a bit of work into their posts. So it would be a courtesy to explain why a thread was pulled.
There is no such thing as free speech at a privately owned website.

You post something in news that’s not news. Maybe it was moved to chat. Did you look there before deciding to complain??
Your best bet is to actually contact an admin

He/she/it will only admit this if asked directly (which I did). It's not quite as bad as: 'if you don't know what's wrong I'm not telling you!'.
True, it would save all kinds of aggravation and time if the nuke notice had something like "News/Activism is for political news only, please post non-political news in General/Chat." But perhaps the whole point is to aggravate people too stupid to figure it out after 10 or 15 stories in a row were nuked?
Just deal with it, if the story is that important to you just re-post it in General/Chat.
