NASA says it will spend more than $250 million hiring private companies to transport scientific missions to the moon. These privately operated missions, part of the US space agency’s broader rush back to the moon, are designed to gather data about the lunar surface and pilot technologies for landing robotic explorers.

Three companies—Astrobotic, Intuitive Machines, and Orbit Beyond—have been awarded contracts for missions into 2021. Orbit Beyond has the earliest target date for its mission, in September 2020.

does it have to pay a tariff if it is merely flying over USA?

(I support PDJT’s attempts at getting better trade deals, so please no flames on that! This is just a humorous flash.....nothing more....please. Thanks!)

When ending a call to Indian call centers tell them to have a nice day, they will respond in kind, repeat another pleasentry, and they will respond again, repeat, response, repeat, response... I’ve gone 5 or 6 minutes! Someday when I have more time I wish to ascertain just how long could those exchanges could actually continue. They are very friendly indeed.

India is also building another aircraft carrier. Nobody other than the US has more than 2 currently in service. India is trying to become globally relevant (although apparently few people think of anything but call centers when India is mentioned).

India is a lot more than call centers. If I was going to invest in a country it would be India.

It is filled with new construction and roads and highways, and has a somewhat western value system.

It’s been 50 years, does that rise to the level of “rushing” back?

Yep, more Christians in India than in the United States...

Funny, that is exactly what I was thinking. Will it be built by Mahindra, the largest tractor builder in the world.

FYI, I have a Kubota L series.

My Indian co-worker would disagree. When a Hindu asks a Christian to pray, it’s interesting. Her brother is in dire straits dt the caste and the growing muslim problem He cannot join her and the rest of their family here. I gather the indians will allow more women to leave than military aged males, but that is simply a guess on my part.
To be fair, she drives her mercedes to the welfare office to pick up her food stamps for them all.

I never heard of Mahindra until Rush started pedaling it. Still haven’t seen a single one. But our conservative radio also advertizes for them.

I suspect this stuff about “biggest seller in the world” is more about the population of India than anything else.

At least unfortunately I see plenty of Kubota so have no doubt it is successful.

Mahindra is the biggest tractor producer by volume. Similar to VW with automobiles. They are sold all over the world.
I do not think that Mahindra were sold into the US until a few years ago.

IMHO Kubota is the best compact tractor you can buy. Better quality than John Deere, Massey Ferguson, Yanmar, Bobcat, CubCadet, Kioti or Ford. Kubota also makes their own engines. JD’s are made by Yanmar. Kubota’s were made in Japan. Now they are made in the US and Canada. The other thing is Kubota’s hold their value better than other brands. The only other brands I considered were JD and MF because there were dealers near me.

Sorry, but the company is foreign therefore the product is foreign. I prefer the bank account and the design be American. Who builds it is secondary. Of course, unfortunately I often don’t have much choice anymore.

OK, I have a John Deere riding lawn mower too. It has a Kawasaki engine made in Japan. I think the tires were made overseas too. I bought it in 1999. I think it is was assembled in Illinois.

I have a Stihl chainsaw made in South Carolina. Stihl is a German company. I have an Echo string trimmer made in Japan.

I drive a Toyota Tacoma made in San Antonio. My wife drives a Honda made in Ohio.

Do you drive a Ford F150 made in Canada. How about a GM truck made out of 50% Mexican made parts?

Are all your faucets Delta? They are the only ones still
built in the US. I have Groehe in my house.

I replaced all three of my toilets. I installed AMERICAN Standard toilets. They were all made in Mexico.

I replaced my fridge and dishwasher. I bought a Whirlpool Fridge and a KitchenAid dishwasher because they are made in Iowa. I just replaced my washing machine with a Speed Queen made in the USA.

My Wrangler jeans are made in Mexico. I do not buy Levis jeans because they are made in China.

I understand what you are saying. It is just increasing difficult to only buy made in USA everything. I try as often as I can. I personally try just NOT to buy made in China. However, sometimes that is the only option. For example, I bought a new cordless MILWAUKEE drill/driver set. The Milwaukee product was made in China. So was Dewalt, Ryobi, Makita, Porter Cable. All the major brands were made there.

You can’t buy a phone or TV or most electronics made here.

Cars? Trucks? That’s different. American vehicles are pretty much the equal of Japan or Europe. Even better in my view. I drive a Ram. The wife a Mustang. I have no quality complaints
