I think one of the big reasons for period stories and fantasies being so popular is that there is more room to NOT put feminist and P.C. drivel in there, so you can have a real story. Both “Mad Men” and “Game of Thrones” come to mind.

When it first came out, I watch the first season, then cut the cable so don’t know anything after that, friends have been filling me in here and there...
The show is way over AOC “Big Mouth” and “Fake Indian’s” head for them to understand...

I don’t have HBO anyway, but I doubt I would’ve watched it...Not much of a sci-fi fan other than the first three Star Wars movies...

If anything Martin’s portrayal of female characters was very fair. They weren’t ornaments. They didn’t sit in the background while the men had all the action. Female characters on the show ran the gamut from smart to stupid, from competent to incompetent and from good to evil - just like men.
But that’s just not good enough for feminazis. Oh no. Forget equality. Nothing less than female superiority to males will do. It’s just not acceptable to portray female characters as having the same human failings as mere males.
Firstly, these people are nuts. Secondly, it’s a freaking fantasy TV show! You don’t absolutely have to project your effing politics on every single last aspect of life. You could always y’know, sit back and enjoy watching a good story......like a normal person.
