I've used both vi and emacs in the past. Recently I found myself editing some config files on my linux desktop and instead of using the GUI text editor I used vi. Was surprised I still remembered most of the commands!!

Not sure I can say that about emacs.

Whenever I’m using a gui editor, I find myself attempting to use vi commands. It can be frustrating. :-)
