Well, I know it wasn’t my daughter who engineered it. She doesn’t do bridges.
It was, and until that thing collapsed they couldn’t scream louder about how it was designed by a woman.

Not only are you correct, but it was a cable-stayed bridge. The woman in charge was quoted as saying that the cables were "only for aesthetics".
I haven't heard much about that bridge in the news, but I think that statement alone increased their liability enormously.
