This morning a post was pulled regarding the discovery of Mastadon bones in maybe Indiana. The reason cited for pulling it was "chat".
I don't get it. The article was NOT a vanity; it was a published news article. Things like that are interesting and should be allowed.
For God sake, they let a letter jumble puzzle be posted every morning.
Does FR have a defined criteria as what is allowed and what is not.
This kind of thing has happened more than once.
Yes, it is Robinson's site and he can do what he wants, but to me this is really annoying.

I think there is a chat section. Perhaps the main News/Activism page is for politics, national and world news, etc.
I hardly ever post a thread anymore so I’m a bit rusty. Someone else may be able to better answer your question.

One would think so, however when I rant (mentally), I just end up spinning myself up more and more. Very unhealthy, at least for me.
I always post in chat. It still goes to the top of the threads.
Yeah that happens to me.
Maybe in the long run (hours) it gets one’s pressure down, but in the short term it’s brutal :)

Newbie question: Why would they remove it instead of just move it to chat? Are mods unable to change the section it’s in?
