Wonder what David Lucas, Murray Krugman, and Sandy Pearlman (the real producers of the song in question) would have to say about it.

And probably cowbell would not have worked during the guitar solo section, in the real world.

To do a good Christopher Walken impression, you have to follow a few rules. And rules, my friend, is how life is played. So here it goes:

Rule 1. Pronounce every one syllable word with two syllables.

Rule 2. You have to pause, occasionally, between words, but not every time. Only some times.

Rule 3. You have to draw out you words sometimes at the end of a sentence. But not every time. Only some times.

Final rule. And this is probably the hardest one. It's the New York accent. A real New Yorker would probably be able to tell it's not real, but who cares.

A pretty lame skit made slightly funny by the performance of Chris Walken.

That skit ruined the song for me. I can’t listen to it anymore for enjoyment, I keep seeing “MORE COWBELL”

I love BOC but I never REALLY liked Reaper. The same is true for Burning for You. However, the are fine tunes when played live. In fact few albums beat this classic when it comes to 1970s hard rock:

It’s after the show
Johnny’s standing on the corner
Lookin’ for his Susie-dear
...But there goes Susie in the band’s limosuine!
Well, that’s the way it goes at those rock-n-roll shows...

That’s the way it goes! It’s rock-n-roll!
Yeah, that’s the way it goes! It’s rock-n-roll...

Yeah, Walken made it. Fallon almost ruined it because he couldn't stay in character (as was typical for him).

Me, too. That’s the funniest bit Walken has ever done.
