Exactly. We use plastic grocery store bags for everything. We’d have to buy them if we didn’t get them for free.
BTW, Speaking of the “principle”, my wife and I were avid users of seat belts. When it became the law, we stopped wearing them for about five years. It may not have been a smart thing to do, but again, the principle of the thing.
Wow... Run Paul Run! Do you think he can win? Or have the 'demographics changed', as I'm hearing in so many states?
One of the few issues I would agree on with the eco-Nazis. Styrofoam does not dissipate into the environment, but breaks down to smaller and smaller particles. Filter feeders at the bottom of the food chain take it in and can starve to death with full bellies. Cellulose containers break down more readily and are generally harmless.

Yes, I believe Paul LePage could win in 2022.
The demographics here have not changed, although I hear a number of Spanish speakers in the supermarkets, about as far from the Mexican border as you can be (except for Alaska and Hawaii). Maine is still a 96% white state.
Dem governor Janet Mills and her enablers in the Maine House and Maine Senate are an unfolding disaster, so yes, I believe former governor Paul LePage would have a very good chance of being elected.
