I guess that means that when you order Omaha Steaks, they will have to include a note in the styro container ordering you to reuse it for soda pop, etc.

I know Gordon Masters will take styrofoam containers and bust them all into little pieces and put them in the soil that they’re making for composting to help bury 8 works pretty good and I guess it breaks down but it takes quite a while.

Well, there goes much of the Maine lobster industry.

What do these brilliant people think lobsters are shipped direct to consumers all over the world in?

I like Styrofoam.
Styrofoam is an engineering material that came out of the project to build a hydrogen bomb.
They needed a material with insulating properties superior to anything available at that time, in order to support a fusion reaction, albeit, for only a very short period of time. And so, Styrofoam was invented.
There are very few materials more high tech than Styrofoam.
Styrofoam is Good.

This can be fixed with a stamp: “It is required by law to use this container twice.”

I thought McD’s had gotten rid of them by itself voluntarily?

I can’t remember when I’ve gotten one lately. Except for take doggie bags...

Didn’t George Carlin say that the Earth needed to create people so they could make “plastic” for “Mother Earth”?

Met a guy that lived in Freeport. I remember him bragging that his son’s grade school class got the town to restrict something, packaging and/or drive-thru at the local McDs, and that was some 20 years ago.

I always re-use my Omaha Steaks coolers.
They are some of the best damned coolers around!

Yeah, they did. Years ago. We're dealing with this same shit with the city of Albuquerque. Many (most) local businesses use Styrofoam/plastic containers because they are selling a combination of wet/dry foods. Green/red chile sauces do not ship well in cardboard. A lot of the restaurants in the area are fighting it.

They're also on a plastic bag/plastic straw ban kick, too.

They won’t stop there. After straws, paper bags, 20 oz sodas, what will be next?
