A man has reportedly been beaten up outside a cinema after loudly revealing the plot of the new Avengers film to queuing fans who hadn't yet seen it. According to Taiwanese media, the man was left bloodied outside a cinema in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, after watching Avengers: Endgame. A photo of the man has circulated online, according to AsiaOne, and shows him sitting down on a blood-spattered pavement.

seems like a battle of multiple people having no self control nor good grasp of right and wrong. physically hitting the guy who may or may not have been telling truth of movie ending is uncalled for. it’s just a movie.

But after reading the “offenses against the person” laws from there, I would say it’s not legal.
The victim here was probably guilty of disturbing the peace and ought to have been removed by law enforcement.
He was assaulted for being an asshole. It should happen more often. Sometimes a good punch in the face is all that's required to course correct someone's attitude. Hopefully the person who was beaten has learned a lesson and is now a better person because of it. We all win.
That’s a bunch of hot air. I’ts not illegal to be an “a—hole” in HK, and there’s no excuse for taking the law into one’s own hands unless one’s personal or familial safety is in danger. Call the cops on someone who’s disturbing the peace in this fashion.
Still doesn’t give anyone the right to physically assault somebody.
