I hate Skyler White. Hate. Until recently, I had no idea anyone actually liked her. I don’t know what Walt sees in her, except that she’s sort of pretty. In a nutshell, Walter White’s wife a petty, selfish, demanding bitch who in no way practices what she preaches. Let’s examine the facts, shall we?

I thought she was hot.
Geeesh! It’s called “a counterpoint “ to Walt’s character. Her character was designed to create sympathy for Walt to make what he was doing seem palatable.
She seemed quite sane to me. She was doing her best to make the best of a very bad situation. She was even more clever than Saul Goodman who was already very clever.
Oh, that’s the same read he had a disabled son. All designed to make the viewer more sympathetic to Walt and his actions.
she wasn’t that bad. she even sprayed the piles of money for silverfish. Yes, she had the affair with that weasel Ted. That was wrong.
Her sister was terribly annoying, though.
She developed into a pretty good crook herself. I think that she was a very good character and well played.
Right, but in the process they made a horribly dislikable character that was difficult to watch and made the whole show less enjoyable.
But she always had a disgruntled puss on her face. You know, the kind that lets you know that happiness is about to be sucked from the room like a black hole.
Often these people, such as Skyler White, aren't likable because they're ruining the fantasy.
I have never, ever complained about the content of articles posted on FreeRepublic.
There is a time for everything.
Before the condesending, belittling comments, “Why did you click on it then,” coming roaring in, I wanted to know who this ‘Skylar’ was, and why I should be concerned. Wait, WTF is this about, a television show?

Skyler was supposed to serve as Walter’s anchor in reality. But his gradual corruption contaminated everything around him, and eventually the insanity spread to her as well, though not nearly to the same degree.
Walter wanted to rule the world. Skyler would have been content with running the car wash.
To geek binge: get a life.
I have absolutely no idea who this is.

Because you have the opportunity to sit down and binge-watch perhaps the greatest television show of all time.
I never saw an episode of Breaking Bad while it aired. I binged the whole series on Netflix about a year or two after it wrapped up. What a rollercoaster ride that was!
She did like purple though.
Who’s Skylar Whiite?
This author is an idiot. Has he even watched the show? Does he not know that Skyler has a disabled child which takes a terrible emotional toil on a person? Does this idiot not know that throughout much of the series Skyler was pregnant? And pregnancy causes crazy hormonal changes to women.
There are lots of reasons that Skyler is not always nice. But for someone to hate her like this? I really don’t think he understands the nature of the show. What an idiot.
The fact you were annoyed by her character shows she was doing a great job acting, as did everyone on that show. That she gets slowly sucked into the ever growing criminal activity, as does Walt, is what makes the show a very good drama. Still one of *the* best show endings.
Jessica Walter played the antagonist in Play Misty for Me and she did such a good job, the theater audience cheered when she got it in the end. Now that's acting...
