I’m really surprised that this is so unusual. The bees weren’t inside of her eye but under the eyelid and between the eye and socket.

While looking at He’s eyes through a microscope...

Shouldn't it be:

While looking at His eyes through a microscope? LOL!

I’m surprised by it. How would a bee get under her eyelid? have to happen when somehow she didn’t see it or notice it happening. Not once but 4 times.

I wonder how long it will be before some “expert” blames this on Global Warming.

I actually have occasional nightmares about insects. This isn’t helping.

But He’s a she. And for once no one is accusing He of being confused about her gender. :)

He was never quite sure about good modern art or about the flies Orr saw in Appleby's eyes. He had Orr's word to take for the flies in Appleby's eyes.

'Oh, they're there, all right,' Orr had assured him about the flies in Appleby's eyes after Yossarian's fist fight with Appleby in the officers' club, 'although he probably doesn't even know it. That's why he can't see things as they really are.'

'How come he doesn't know it?' inquired Yossarian. 'Because he's got flies in his eyes,' Orr explained with exaggerated patience. 'How can he see he's got flies in his eyes if he's got flies in his eyes?'

Catch-22

Maybe just blink right when the bee is landing on or near the eye. Most of the time the bee will be blinked away - but every once in a while it will be caught.

Well, what sexes did the bees self-identify as?
If two were homo, the doctor was judgmental and destroyed a sexual coupling out of homophobia.
I guess.

Agreed: Four bees don’t want to be lodged in your eye socket any more than you do.

Shenanigans. Torture or “traditional medicine” quackery was afoot, IMO.

If anyone wants to see a nice big long worm being removed from a human eye you’re in luck!
