I’ve spent a career in the IT World, IMO, the vast majority of people don’t need a big expensive laptop....unless you are really into gaming or extensive video editing, it’s money wasted.....
Get a laptop with a reasonably new CPU and purchase as much core memory as you can afford or can fit in the laptop, then if you can afford it, go with a modest sized Solid State Drive (SSD), they are usually lightening fast....if you need extra hard drive storage, go with a portable external hard drive, I have (2) 2-TB drive which is a helluva lot of space.....
been hard to find one. My dead computer looked like my old Viao and both had extra sticks of memeory
I am seeing many computers now have a ss disk for programs and a hard drive for data.
My problem with purchasing a computer is that I bought the Viao back when they first came out and then purchased the Acer about 6 years ago using the vaio specs
and the laptop world has changed
