Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones blamed the various claims he's made over the years, including that the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was a hoax, on "psychosis," according to a deposition the "Infowars" host has given as part of a Texas lawsuit.
Jones described his conspiracy thinking as a kind of mental disorder during the deposition taken earlier this month for the lawsuit filed against him by the family of a 6-year-old who was among the 20 children and six adults killed in the Newtown, Connecticut, attack, the Austin American-Statesman reported .
Jones said during the deposition that he "almost had like a form of psychosis back in the past where I basically thought everything was staged, even though I'm now learning a lot of times things aren't staged."
Jones blamed his mental state on "the trauma of the media and the corporations lying so much, then everything begins — you don't trust anything anymore, kind of like a child whose parents lie to them over and over again, well, pretty soon they don't know what reality is."
The defamation lawsuit was filed in Travis County, Texas, where Jones' media company is based. In August, the judge presiding over the lawsuit denied Jones' request to dismiss the case .
Jones' attorneys have defended his speech in court as "rhetorical hyperbole," but denied it was defamation.
During the deposition, Jones continued to voice conspiratorial suspicions about the shooting.

Interesting as John Lennon before the 1980 election had personally written RR saying he regretted not being able to vote for him as he was not a citizen and saying he had made the maximum personal contribution to his campaign. Amazing story, Lennon in his last years reversed his politics 180 degrees, regretted sending money to the IRA PROVOS and a host of other stupid and bad acts he had done. Reports are Yoko was not very happy about his change.

I would not go that far. I have always thought that Jones was at least a bit of an agent provocateur. There is PLENTY to question about Sandy Hook, regardless of what the usual official narrative defenders here and elsewhere say, and without AJ sounding like the obnoxious blowhard. I was smeared as an AQ/terrorist sympathizer for questioning Sandy Hook...here!! I simply brought up the “parent” caught laughing on CNN prior to his melodramatic press conference...or the medical examiner snickering (also a state police officer behind him) during a press conference describing alleged dead children...or the aerial footage of the fire station. Etc.
Oh well. There are gatekeepers everywhere. And they practice Alinsky tactics against those of us who genuinely want truth.

Sand Hook happened right after the Aurora Theater shooting and there was a hell of a lot of dubious crap swirling around James Holmes the shooter, stuff surrounding what he was involved in like his neuroscience stint that may have involved DARPA...
It was also at the height of Obama Using mass shootings as a excuse to “Have a discussion” and “Take action” against our 2nd Amendment rights.
