I really can’t imagine the pain. Adrenalin probably helped for a short while but the screaming pain would have driven lesser men to give up. It took grim determination to hang on to that mg.

It took me 10 minutes of racking my brain to put his name to the event. So many names, so much history.

Har Har! You know what I’m talking about. For every great jump, there were three or four being launched into space at various angles.

Straddling the crossbar, landing on spikes, launched to the right, the up and around, the firepole slide.

I miss it like you can’t believe.
