Lord the Olympics have hit total rock bottom. I haven’t watched either the winter or summer in many years. For me the heyday was back in the 1960’s and early 1970’s when ABC covered them and did a very good job. Since NBC took over they have been terrible.
Also since they have pretty much eliminated Amateur’s from competing it’s a real farce, no purity about the sports what so ever. Avery Brundage may have been a pill at times but he kept the Olympics clean in his years of running things.
With this devolving world this makes sense.
Dancing, surfing, sport climbing and skateboarding. They just need sponsors. The Olympics will still be boring. Here’s a nice French break dance.

This is a joke, right? You’ve got to be kidding!
Why not ballet then?

>>Why do we still have the Olympic Games? It seems to be an incredible waste of money.
Because of sex and bribery and promises of huge profit
Why not pedo-whoring like the international Olympic committee.
Will they provide the cardboard?
Pathetic.
This is just like adding those millennial “X-Games” events at the Winter Olympics.
Follow the money.
Urban obstacle course racing (what is the name of the activity for urban obstacle course physical skills?) would be a valid activity. It would be a much more valid way to be current and relevant. Things like jumping fences are included.
May as well include medals for flatulence, too.
Not long until lightsaber fencing becomes an Olympic sport.
Air guitar!
