Today’s Cryptogram

RWJP GEP MWEK IEPGZ,

RWJP GHBTPLP IEPGZKPRR,

GKC RWJP BGLP IEPGZKPRR

ZBEARZ AXWK ZBPJ. NTYYTGJ RBGOPRXPGEP

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.

For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles. Puzzle solvers love to hear if you found the CG challenging or easy.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: brain; cryptogram; puzzle; todayscryptogram
If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time. Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under two "you're a pro!"

Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence or even one word at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Cryptogram Helper.

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

Let me know if you want on or off our Cryptogram Ping List, (currently at 55!)

Solution to our last puzzle:

SPEAK WHEN YOU’RE ANGRY, AND YOU’LL MAKE THE BEST SPEECH YOU’LL EVER REGRET. SOURCE UNKNOWN

Many said this was your favorite CG to date. Three contractions giving you loads of letters along with the conjunction "and" after the comma. "SOURCE UNKNOWN" and "ANONYMOUS" are frequently seen. So lock them into your noodle, and be looking for them.

Took a while longer than expected and I didn’t time it but would guess around 10 minutes.

Figured out the first 2 words and the rest just fell into place.

6 min since I messed up the cut and paste, but I figured it out in just less than four.

1:15 ...

Guessed correctly the three-letter word after the second comma, which gave me the second word ... from there, the author, and it was just filling in the blanks after that.

2 minutes. I recognized the pattern of the first name immediately, and from there it all fell in. =)

3 minutes today. The authors last name was very helpful and was evident after getting the first word and the thirteenth word via trial & error.
