That’s why Trump is correct to take the money as part of Wall funding, because politically it puts Congress in the Wall business with him, and shifts the discussion to how fast and what resources can be applied to build it.
It’s also why he is correct to declare a national emergency as part of that process. Those who say “oh, but it will set a precedent that future Democrat Presidents could follow to spend money on climate change or something”.
Well I have news for them: Democrats don’t give one shit about precedent! If they ever, God forbid, occupy the White House again they will think nothing of declaring an emergency to throw money to their green pals REGARDLESS of what Trump does.
Sitting around whining and wishing for a perfect world is just wasting energy. Take what you can get and find creative ways to get more. If Jesus could multiply bread and fishes, just watch and see how Trump manages to multiply resources to build the wall.

I think this government as designed is pretty much finished. There is very little checks and balance and forget about limited government under a Constitutional framework and adherence. We are now a soft tyranny with some of the most atrocious aspects of the worst governments ever founded.
