He’s going to wish he had not published his name or his face.
People are so nuts these days.
Or, he may not really care.

Like Musk ox in Canada. You have to have a Government certified guide and you get to shoot a Musk ox like a cow.

at least 50 million Dem’s would be fine if he was killing new born babies.
Would applaud if Ms. Occasionally Coherent ate the dead raw.

My opinion of the hunter is pretty low, not for killing the animal, but for spending $110,000 to do it.

Why couldnt the pakistanies sell him the animal instead...let the buyer spend his money taking care of it...maybe breed more to keep the species alive...let his specimen die of old age will ya......got to admit...it is a beautiful animal...why kill it?

I’ll admit my wussy NYC a@@ was sad for a second and then I actually READ the article and this is helping SAVE the animal.

$$ does that.

Didn’t care that it was hunted.

Just thought if it was one of only a handful left that would kind of suck.

It’s not. And this is actually helping.

So it’s all good.

Me, I’d buy a Doge Viper :)

No, I suppose you are right. As a little black dog, I am a mighty hunter myself.. gophers, squirrels, rabbits, birds. My human mom makes the BEST faces as she tries to trade me for my prizes!!! I even brought in a gopher once that I had been stalking for days, just as dinner guests walked in the door. It was great fun, her shaking my mouth open so I’d drop the gopher on the floor. Then she said to her guests..(seriously she did).. “Dinner anyone?”

Good for him. Trophy hunting in Africa and other places help save species by bringing in big bucks to help conservation of the animals and curtail poaching.

I’m not into trophy hunting. And, it’s not like he actually hunted it down. Here it is... now point and shoot.

The purpose of the Wash. Post writer/article was not to tell the story about conservation efforts as the prime focus but to diss the hunter and THEN talk about the successful conservation program.

I’m not a hunter and wouldn’t kill such a magnificent animal, but culling is one way of preserving oversized herds which can face starvation if they overgraze a limited area.

Leave it to the Post to bias the reader against a hunter before they learn the whole story. The Post has been doing that to America for over 50 years (I started reading the Post in 1966. It got so biased against the US over Vietnam, then against Israel, pro-Communist guerrillas in Nicaragua and El Salvador that some of us formed Accuracy in Media in 1969 to fight this bias. Others formed CAMERA, Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in the 1980’s to counter terrible bias against Israel and even Iran).

Nothing has changed and with Bezos owning the Wash Post, things have only gotten worse. I can’t distinguish between the Compost and the old Tass, Pravda, Izvestia, and New Times.

After perusing the comments, I thought I had somehow logged on to a left wing hair on fire political website. Maybe I have....

Wow.

I prefer to kill what meat I eat. It tastes better that way and is a whole lot more than just food. If I could only convince the missus warrior that wild sheep is actually more cost effective and good for her than the cattle in the pasture or the chickens in the coop....

Yes we have a big problem with the deer population over here in the UK - we have the largest numbers in over 1000 years apparently! Quite a lot of culling goes on, as obviously there are no natural predators over here (we killed our last wolf in the 18th century). It needs to be done as the deer are eating crops and also responsible for the reduction in the number of woodland birds as they eat the foliage that some species rely on. It's quite easy to get a firearms licence here if you have a need for one (gun club member, gamekeeper/hunter etc).
