It has been a busy year. We sold our place in Georgia, have been banging away at some short-fused client work, moved to Tennessee, and are in the middle of scouting the location for our new facilities. Been too busy to write much, but wanted to take some time for a long-overdue introduction to Miles Mathis, an interesting guy who came to my attention about three years ago.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Miles, here’s a warning: take everything you read about him on the web with a grain of salt. Instead, if thinking-out-of-the-box science and culture are your thing, then do what I do and just read what the man himself says about his ideas. And then, as usual, think for yourself about what he has to say.
In “Starving the Monkeys”, long before I had heard of Miles, I wrote the following in Chapter 11, “Math and Science”:
Being kept ignorant can only lead to your being more pliable to coercion and fear. Ignorance causes people to perceive the monsters of today as being more frightening and complex than they really are. Which might arguably be the end goal of the witch doctors of our time, who wish for you to bow at their altar and ply them with offerings to keep you safe from shadows.
Yes, I just tastelessly quoted myself. But I’m not done. In the following chapter, “Scholarship and Sadi Carnot”, I wrote:
We often hear one work being described as “scholarly”, and another work being denounced as “unscholarly” or “stream of consciousness writing”. In these cases, what the critic means is that only by heavily referencing the work of others are you capable of writing anything of value. And that the value of what you write is in direct proportion to the amount of content you provide, or reference, which came from others. The implication, of course, is that your original thoughts are of little value. So stop relying on those nasty original thoughts, they say. What better way for the collective to stifle individualism than to deride your thoughts as inherently wrong and dangerous?

Scholarship had a noble original purpose, however. And within the context of that noble origin, it remains worthy. This noble purpose has two worthwhile implications, which also remain valid. But these implications have been twisted over time to prevent original thought. The original noble purpose of scholarship was to teach students that they did not have to take the word of their teacher for granted. Wow. Imagine trying that concept out in a public school or university today.
Scholarship was intended to teach students to go out into the world, and find out for themselves whether what they had been taught was meaningful. Go read what others say, and see whether they agree with me or you or not. See whether the intuition you have matches what others have thought or discovered for themselves of God’s creation. And then ask yourself whether you believe them or whether you think they are wrong. Not just gobble their ideas up as if the mystical “someone else said” has final merit. Scholarship was intended to avoid having to take on faith what anyone told you.
I wrote that chapter about Sadi Carnot and other heroes of science, including those whose names are lost in the mists of time. One day, I’ll write about others in that vein, but for those of you who have “Starving the Monkeys”, take another look at chapters 10 and 11 before starting in on Miles’ work. If you don’t have a copy, no problem, I’ll quote enough from those chapters in upcoming analyses.
In a nutshell, this is what I’ve observed about his work, which is roughly divided among science and politics.
On the science side, linked here, he has a very intriguing pair of theories, one about nuclear structure and another about what he dubs the “charge field”, both of which are tightly bound, but either one is intriguing on its own. Most of his papers discuss holes in establishment science and how his theories dovetail into those holes. I was first intrigued by his nuclear model theories, which made a lot of sense on first reading. More on that in a future article.
On the political side, linked here, he has equally intriguing theories about the origins and influence of the deep state on past and current events.
In addition, as a polymath, Miles is also a phenomenal realist artist. And apparently a poet, but I don’t feel qualified to comment on that as poetry has always just been a buzzing in my brain. I remember at the Naval Academy having to do analysis of poetry in literature classes and all I could wonder is “how exactly will this help me defeat the Soviets?” As with macro-economics, the right answer was to just parrot whatever the hottie Lieutenant Commander professor had to say about it and that was good enough. Saved me a lot of effort and let me go back to analyzing her seams. Easy A.
I’ve never met Miles, never talked to him on the phone, but we have exchanged a few emails, most of which consist of me sending him congratulatory emails for some point or another. For the past few years I’ve drilled through just about his entire catalog of articles, and have been very impressed with what I’ve seen. I have disagreements with some of his ideas, but that is what science, real science, is about. In the future, I’ll go into some of these disagreements in particular, but for the most part, I think his content is more good than bad.
The key area in which I think he has a weakness is in math. That is OK, some of the rest of us can do the heavy lifting there, he doesn’t have to do it all. The most oft-quoted ad hominem of his work usually pings on the “pi = 4” idea, which is often taken well out of context. I disagree with him about that one, or at least how it is presented, but we’ll get into that later, also. In any event, his thoughts on pi aren’t at all the kind of math I’m talking about.
One final tasteless self-quote before we go, particularly about why most of what you read about Miles’ work is ad hominem smack rather than thoughtfully critical of his actual ideas. Later in the chapter “Scholarship and Sadi Carnot”, I mentioned the impact that a science outsider could have on the scientific establishment (as distinctly opposed to science itself). The context of that section used speed-of-light as an example, but Miles’ charge field and/or nuclear structure theories would do just as well:
The orthodoxy has good reason to be threatened. Imagine the revolution of thought which would accompany such a discovery. Assume for a moment that it is discovered that Einstein was wrong, and objects can go faster than the speed of light, and without trickery such as wormholes or so on. Just assume that simple push, push, push is enough. Or pull, pull, pull on a gravity string. However the mechanism, suppose that simple faster-than-light is shown to be fine and dandy, just like we can go faster than the speed of sound. Don’t forget that exceeding that barrier was also thought to be impractical not too long ago.
At once, every science classroom in the world would be wrong. Each teacher or professor, who shouted down such questions from their students for decades would be wrong. Each man on the street who didn’t believe or understand what he had been told on TV his entire life is vindicated. Each scientific journal, or author, or lab director or peer reviewer who stifled crackpots would be wrong, each oppression against free thought shown as what it is. And their god lying broken at their feet, revealed to simply be an idol made by men. Trillions of dollars diverted, worldwide and wrongly, into programs which were flawed at their core. Because of a faith.
Miles Mathis is Luther posting at the science establishment’s door (regular readers of his work will understand the irony in that, as well as the ironic nod to string theory, above).
Finally, I would like to thank his detractors who resorted to base ad hominem rather than just simply pointing out errors. To my ears, all of that was a clear ringing of the bell that maybe I should take another, deeper look at what the man had to say. In today’s world, the most reviled men are those who dare to tell the truth.
Even if Miles Mathis is only right about a fraction of his ideas (scientific or political, pick your poison), that would be enough to be absolutely revolutionary, and thus dangerous to the status quo.
No wonder he is the subject of needless personal attacks.

DaVinci was a polymath and brilliant artist...some of his ideas didn’t work but we still call him genius.(my last name is mathis but I’m not “miles”...I claim no brilliance of scholarship...ahem)
Some folks exist as what I call SIG’s...or “seminal ideal generators”. They come up with intuitively brilliant and perceptive thoughts, theories, and can generate on the spot solutions to vexing issues that a working group has given up on(ie...why a door(to a medical pyxis cabinet on a nursing floor) with interlocks won’t open when the digital mechanism has unlocked it...my solution..”an object inside the box is pushing on the door from the inside keeping the interlocks engaged. By pushing on the door from the outside and disengaging the digital mechanisms again allowed the door to open and for me to look like a magician)
A true SIG does that sort of thing all the time but often receives no credit for anything or real attention as he or she may not be the most degreed or pompous person in the world. Since their work and contributions enhance the world around them in useful but not ostentatious ways, others often take the credit for when things ultimately go right because of what a SIG has done. A Biblical example of such a SIG is found here...notice how such a person sinks back into the shadows after he has saved the city....

SIG’s are all around, many are plain sorts, not pretty, and many of them are Christians.You wouldn’t take much notice of them on the street.(quite a few are very good auto mechanics, I believe). Some are like that solitary man or woman in a church who run the sound board “just right” or do the most amazing flower arrangements for the church and when they die the sound never sounds right anymore and the flower arrangements just go back to looking store bought.
There’s always that one wise person that not a lot in a group associates with but one where a wise pastor often stops to have a chat with because he knows that that particular SIG has a good bead on things and the pastor, needing a good lead for upcoming sermons, will often garner a good nugget of insight from that SIG.
SIG’s are often content in themselves and will help without the wish to be helped, often to their detriment. I think they are often mislabeled as having Asperger’s but a good exam would reveal that the criteria for such a diagnosis won’t neatly apply to those folks.
When the Rapture comes, a lot of those SIG’s are going to disappear and with them much of the savoring salt that makes life on Earth liveable if not bearable with the loss of their touch of whimsy!
I think he is right about “through charge”. Everything is an electromagnet from the building blocks to planets and stars. It would make a lot of sense towards explaining the orbit of the horseshoe asteroids.
This is very good. I have experienced this also. It has taught me to never judge someone based on education or professional credibility. “Out of the mouths of babes” is a real thing, I have seen answers come from the most unlikely of sources so I now at least listen to them all with an open mind and have been surprised many times.

Let me share a personal true story along the same lines...
I have been in the automotive service industry all my life and have owned several shops. One day many years back I heard this load clatter coming down the street towards my shop. I knew right away it was someone driving on just a rim after the tire was gone. The guy pulled in and we made a deal and I went to work on it.
As he was waiting he kept muttering to himself and shaking his head. Being an open kind of guy I asked him if everything was OK? He explained that he was mad at himself for not being able to understand the directions on the sticker on the trunk lid about how to change his own spare and ruining the rim by driving on it. “they make no sense... I couldn’t figure out how to do it”.
So trying to make him feel better I told him that anymore very few people have actually changed a tire or know how. I told him I see it all the time. I told him that I have met many very intelligent people who couldn’t figure out how to do it either so I wouldn’t let it bother me, kinda normal.
He busted up laughing to himself, so I had to ask what he found was so funny. He said “you are not going to believe this... but I work for JPL... I am currently working on the mars rover project”. All I could say at that point was “well then... maybe you are right”. lol
“Idea” generators....but there probably are better descriptors others might come up with....Christ spoke of things revealed not to the wise of this world, thanking the Father that he had “revealed them unto Babes”.
I do think that Miles is somewhat of a loon and gets a lot of things wrong; his theories on the interconnectedness of various families that are part of the criminal activities that are ripping off the nations blind can make one blind reading through them. Even CS Lewis and his writings are, according to him, part of a decades long CIA plot, including his marriage to Joy Davidman in 1947(who was Jewish, and tangentially related to the CIA’s founder...Miles’ emphasis of the fact) and in 1947(!)(the founding of the CIA...again his emphasis)..all as an attempt to undermine religion and morality(Miles says “not that he was worried about the destruction of Christianity per se”).
The issue with this guy is that he posits some very brilliant ideas as well as some loony stuff. He is a SIG but must be taken with huge grains of salt and he appears hostile to religion, labelling just about everything as “fake or false”. He appears stuck in a Cartesian rabbit hole....he can trust his own experience of existence...he exists because he thinks, but he thinks that the “camera obscura” that transmits data to his personality matrix has been tainted. Thus all knowledge is faked and he is not even sure about his neighbor!

Yup...just like the old Hitler argument....bring up Hitler, the discussion is done. Bring up the Jewish conspiracy, the argument is done.
He’s a loon, a higher class of loon but still a loon...stuck in his own Cartesian self “ recycling-field”(/sarcasm intended) of doubting any sense or conceptual data that crosses his neural/sensory/personality matrix. Only he knows what is fake and what is not...according to him!
What a dark way to live because he really does have some interesting ideas; and he does seem to be throwing a few rocks that are making the dogs they are meant for howl in rage at being hit/discovered!
I remember now what I said that made him laugh so hard.
I now remember that I told him that I had met Doctors, lawyers and “rocket scientists” who couldn’t change their own spare tire. That’s when he busted up and told me he worked for JPL. lol
Remember awhile back when JPL was trying to discredit the kid who successfully proved one of their theories wrong concerning the chances of an extra terrestrial object hitting the earth? I emailed JPL and shared the spare tire story with them. I asked them how many they work with right now can change their own spare? Or even have a spare tire in their trunk? Or how many actually have air in them?
No reply of course... Always wondered if that guy might have got the chance to read that email. lol

I agree, that pretty much sums up Mathis.
His paper on the Titanic is a great example. So many books written on the subject and he’s the first to look at it and say, wait a minute, a ship got hit with an iceberg going from Southamton to Hew York? Did they go around the North pole? In April?
I looked up the latitude of the crash site and it checks out: same latitude as New York! No icebergs at that latitude. Even if I have a hard time with his conclusions, He comes up with some incredible out-of-the-box stuff.
tl;dr
And from the comments above, a wise decision.
The owner of the Boat was said to have stated “even Jesus Christ couldn’t sink this boat”. Witnesses do say there were ice bergs. Something hit that ship and the damage seems consistent when they went down to look at the Titanic.
This site from DHS explains icebergs in the North Atlantic and how they often do enter the shipping lanes even in April.

When it comes to eyewitnesses, yes, even the rescue captain said the sinking ship was surrounded by a giant field of icebergs. Survivors also said there was about a dozen iceberg alerts that day.
Given all that, the past hundred years of using that common shipping lane daily.. It should be replete with iceberg crashes and stories of near misses. If we believe the eye witnesses, Southampton to NY is a giant minefield of icebergs, even in April.
So eyewitnesses, including the rescue Captain destroy the narrative of a freak occurrence of a rare iceberg at the wrong latitude.
The website regarding the icebergs says some years are heavier than others and some years hardly any enter the shipping lanes. It also speaks of the bergs making more of their appearances ‘through-out the spring(ie….April to Early summer Icebergs can(but not always) go as far south at the NY latitudes in April but usually only in the LONGITUDEs from Greenland, and the Labrador corridor westward from Spring to early summer.
NYC position...:40.7128° N, 74.0060° W
Ttannic position:41.726931° N and 49.948253° W.
Icebergs will occaisionally float that far south at that longitude in the Spring to Early summer months. 47-49 degrees west longitude is right in the middle of the corridor between Greenland and Labrador where the cold Labrador current flows...so it is quite possible ice bergs could have floated that far south into the shipping lanes...especially at those longitudes. 1912 was considered to have been a milder winter in that part of the Atlantic by some accounts and many ice bergs had been released from Greenland and parts north because of it.
Of course since Miles views that many sinister interests may have altered the records of the time to cover up the real reason of the Titannic’s sinking(if it even had sunk or even existed at all....along the same vein that Manson was never really in prison/per Miles ) then one has to decide if the records we have are truly accurate or if we have all been massively hoodwinked and our means of perception shaped by insidious forces from all our births!
