Hungary Today ^ | 2019 Feb 6 | Fanni Kaszas

"The pearl of the Danube is not only the best European destination, it is also one of the most beautiful and safest cities in the world. Budapest offers the elegance of Paris, the architectural heritage of Vienna, the charm of Porto, Stockholm’s gentle way of life.”

The Hungarian capital received a total of 62,128 votes. According to the statement of Mayor István Tarlós, posted on budapest.hu on Tuesday, No other previous winner received as many votes from abroad as Budapest, with 77 percent submitted from other countries.

This year’s list also included Athens, Florence, Bratislava, Metz and Paris. The trendiest destinations in Europe will be promoted throughout the year to millions of travelers – and will be authorized to display the title “European Best Destination” in their marketing. The cities receive year-long promotion on the European Best Destinations website, in the international press and on numerous social media platforms and travel portals.

According to EBD, winning the competition has a significant impact on growth of tourists with +16 percent in growth of tourism for Porto rewarded in 2017, and +13 percent for Bordeaux, which was rewarded in 2015.

The EU wants to put the muslim sewer pipe right in the middle of that city so much, they are threatening Hungary.

Great because Hungary is defying the EU by keeping bearded savages out.

My Sister and Brother-in-Law spend nine months every year in Europe. For the last few years they have made Budapest their base and travel a lot by train.

I think one of the reasons is that it is cheap. They also think Hungary is the most beautiful country in Europe.

I don’t understand it either. He is now 80 and she is only a couple of years younger. You would think they would stay home and visit with their children and grandchildren.

He was a Naval Aviator and I think their wanderlust began with his being stationed all over the world.

They can travel all over by train for free due to their age.

The Danube is the Cradle of Western Civilization.

From the time the Germanic tribes drove the Roman Empire out, to the time of The Holy Roman Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

1,700 years of mankind’s highest achievements.

My wife and I were in Budapest this past October. Lovely city had great Hungarian goulash at a bistro near our hotel named Asztal 12 another restaurant across the street called Rezkakas bistro, although a tad more upscale came in second.

I wish I had me a fine pot of goulash right now.

In fact, I’d be willing to walk two, three hundred feet to get some of the Budapest goulash.

Was this town named after that Eastern religious guy?

Pesty or something like that.

I just got an email from them.

They mentioned dining yesterday at the bend of the Danube and eating Beef Szentendre. I looked it up and still not sure what it is. They did say it was good and they always get large portions which apparently is common there.

If the Danube is the Cradle Of Western Civilizaion then I guess that makes the Oder the diaper pail.

Yes, its generally safe to walk the streets are there are no “no go” areas.

Globalists are angry they can’t get their hands on much of Eastern Europe to bring it some of their highly political social engineering and “diversity.”
