Wells Fargo suffers widespread outage of ATMs, mobile banking capabilities

Customers of Wells Fargo are reporting an outage affecting the big bank's ATMs as well as online and mobile banking.

A customer service representative said it is a nationwide outage.

KULR-TV in Montana is reporting that a bank employee said the outage is a result of a fire at a server farm located in Shoreview, Minnesota

I can confirm Wells Fargo online banking is off the air.

What were these retards thinking when they didn’t make their systems fully redundant with automatic failover?

It is no longer technically complex with the advent of cheap, high bandwidth network services, and VMWare.

I made a deposit for my church a couple of hours ago and there computers in the branch were acting up too. Took 10 minutes for what usually takes less than a minute. The teller told me they were having issues everywhere.

I was able to log in by going back through my browser history and finding a link there. Everything except my credit card activity was available.

Debit and credit cards seem to be working per my hubby in retail. Mobile app seems to be working. I would imagine they’re bringing systems back online in a prioritized order.
