Today’s Cryptogram

XMWA GMKKIPAD OWFXWWA FXK WCPQI P HQXHNI QPUW FK FSN FMW KAW P'CW AWCWS FSPWZ OWEKSW. LHW XWIF

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.

For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

Send me a private reply if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles. EVERYONE LOVES TO HEAR TIPS FROM OTHER PLAYERS.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

Solving the puzzle is an accomplishment regardless of time, but once you get the hang of these it's fun to keep your time.

Under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under two "you're a pro!"

Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

It’s easier to work on the puzzle without having to use your pencil.

Let me know if you want on or off our Cryptogram Ping List, (currently at 44!)

Solution to our last puzzle:

You got to be careful if you don't know where you're going, because you might not get there. Yogi Berra

Today's puzzle has some nice clues starting with the one letter word and the contraction. That should get you started.

Good job! Good puzzle today. Has a lot of clues if you study the puzzle “before” you try to solve it.

I think we should have some rules, as in you can study the puzzle for up to one minute, then start. In other words, you examine the puzzle looking for clues. ONce you put pen to paper or start with Hal, the clock starts.

Got it done. No Problem as you learn that when you see certain groupings of words. They seem to always be the same. Actually got it completed in 5 minutes.

About 4 minutes. The contraction always helps.

About five or ten seconds. Easiest one ever. GOOD ONE, too. One of my favorite quotes.
