The NFL might have left the Rams at Saints alone if the game had been later. They were terrified of Kansas City vs New Orleans and the lack of market size.

George Blanca (Raiders) played until
he was 48 years old. In 1969 they were
12-1-1. Not bad for a guy who was Brady’s
age at 41.

I saw the camera pan the Patriots players during the National Anthem.

The white guys had one hand on their chests, over their hearts.

The black guys had two hands over their chests.

Don’t know if that means anything at all.

The Saints had two strikes against them before the game even started:

Strike One:

In a playoff game several years ago, or maybe it was a Super Bowl, Sherman mauled a receiver before the ball got to him. There was no flag. The analyst in the booth said, paraphrased, “The officials have orders not to call penalties near the end of the game that might determine the outcome of the game.

Strike Two:

The NFL wanted to have the left coast - communist Northeast teams to be the teams in the Super Bowl because the Rams had recently moved back to Los Angeles from St. Louis. The interest in the game would be broader with those two teams.

The Pats or Chiefs vs the Saints would have been a great Super Bowl. The Rams ran out of luck tonight and I honestly don’t think Jared Goff is going to be a great NFL QB.

What I liked about the Super Bowl was its perfect timing. I had to make a long drive today and there was very little traffic. Sundays are usually a madhouse. Thank you, football fans!

No kidding. Growing up, even liberals couldn’t stand whiners.

They called what they did “airing grievances with righteous indignation.” :-D

Funny how you probably didn’t say that in the 2009 NFC championship game.

The problem with Gurley looks more mental. / emotional than physical. We may find out what his problem is in the off season - not that anyone cares. The Rams were just being the Rams - choking and stinking up big games. I’ve been watching them do that since 1963. You can’t tell their new fans that though.

If they really cared about head injuries, they would have called a helmet to helmet on the Rams player who put that hit on the Saints player in the championship gag

I love it every time an LA team loses a championship. It makes the freaks flooding across the southern border really sad. LOL. They love LA teams.
