Perhaps you're referring to "my" bisexual senator, Kyrsten Sinema (her parents ordered her birth certificate years before auto-correct was a thing). She wasn't purple, she was magenta. I guess her white outfit with the stripper pole boots was in the laundry basket.
Reminds me of a woman I knew. She used to get so angry if someone said her hair was the same color of purple as the Jokers suit, “No its not! Its frosted burgundy!”
Anyway, besides her though. Not so much purple, and certainly not the type of darker purple being used to supposedly show bipartisanship. It was the number of shirts and ties and things that all had that more lavender color. Not grey or silver, not just my Tv. Definitely an unusual amount of lavender.
