General Beauregard Lee saw his shadow as he emerged from his home at the Dauset Trails Nature Center, signaling that Georgia should be prepared for six more weeks of winter

Where I live, only six more weeks of winter would be considered quite a blessing.

I’m not a lib but it triggered me. Got me thinking about an old Jerry Reed song “ The Tuepelo Mississippi Flash”. Feel bad for Georgia, where I live ground hogs are still hibernating. Only way they’d see their shadow is if you threw a flashlight in the den.
My prediction.....March 21st.
4-6 weeks after the solstice is the coldest part of winter (Last week of January & first two weeks in February)
4-6 weeks after the solstice is the hottest part of summer. (last week in July & first two weeks in August)
I have a feeling we’re going to have a cool, wet, SHORT growing season this year. The signs are all here, so I’m planning accordingly.
