Look, the whole thing was sabotaged by Ryan from the beginning, so it’s time to move on — there are much bigger stakes: a trade deal with China on our terms will make a few billion dollars of concrete look like peanuts.

You are full of arrogant defeatism. Quitters never win and winners never quit. Too bad you never learned that fact.
I agree with Trump’s moves and you will find out ultimately that you are so far off base with your arrogant analysis that you’re not even in the same country as Trump and his supporters. It’s amazing how some can spew nothing but negativism given the slightest opportunity. Happily, I see the wall being built, and sooner than you and your cohorts think.

He can do stuff in his power to do that’s what
Here’s a few
Start by sending the army to the border
Start taxing remittances
Start firing Obola associates
Start arresting public officials that allow sanctuary
Find out if RBG is alive
For crying out loud Sandmann didn’t even
get clock boy status

As long as Democrats control TV/media they will control the country.

Trump should break up the free TV networks. The y don’t serve all Americans.

Ryan did indeed do his job for the open borders cartel.

A few years back, Arizona passed one of the harshest border control laws in the country.

Arizona - a place that was represented by open borders poster boy John McCain.

McCain was ***NEVER*** voted out of office.

How is it that Arizona is strict conservative but represented by mushy middle McCain?

You have mistaken me for the guy in the White House. I am not in a position to quit. Whereas for me to say Trump has quit would require him to have made an effort beyond posturing. Where are his vetoes? Where are his promises to turf any GOP rep or senator who opposes the wall? All he’s done is go after a couple of GOP senators who opposed him because of personality conflicts.

It would focus GOP legislators a lot more if he had pointed to the wall as the one thing he cannot give up. But Trump never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Every piece of legislation that crossed his desk, including must-haves for the globalists, like tax cuts, came without strings (i.e. the wall or immigration restriction) attached.

We’ll find out pretty soon, but it would not surprise me if, in response to lousy polls, he decided not to run in 2020. I suspect he’ll discover that what he thought was a bunch of throwaway remarks about immigration will turn out to be the unfulfilled promises that end up denying him a second term.

If AZ is so Conservative, explain the new Senator they Elected last November.

AZ is now off our “move to” List. They, like Nevada will be another Domino to fall to the Leftists.

Nothing this complicated is ever accomplished in a straight line. Sometimes bobbing and weaving are necessary to win the fight.

This is re-opening of the government is not the end of the issue. It is only the beginning. Trump is a fighter and this is no knockout punch.

He's given the democRATS a deadline of 30 days to negotiate terms for the wall or he will shut the government down again. Then we'll see what he has up his sleeve to build the wall without them.

I think that is how this will end. Trump will declare a national security emergency and build the wall without the democRATS support. Then watch heads explode.

Oh, ye of little faith. There's none so blind as those who will not see.

The title smakes it seem like we are supposed to work hard and for the benefit of Trump.

Sometimes you can want something really bad. And it still doesn’t come true.

The key is to win more than you lose.

The editor of my old newspaper used to say that if they don’t break your windows out now and then, you obviously aren’t doing the job right.

The Main Stream Media needs their windows busted (shot?) out weekly, IMHO. Our watchdogs of the Fourth Estate have joined the wolves. They need to feel real pain.

Goes directly to the point that the republicans in Congress refused to support Trumps agenda because it was not in their financial interest, corruption rules.

I don’t think it is a failure, I think it is a political move on Trump. He said February 15th...he might shut it down again...

My impression is of posters who are so enamored of Trump’s personality/bio that they make up every excuse under the sun for his repeated defeats. Except I’m not even sure these are defeats. They’re more like walkovers, where the guy doesn’t even try, because he doesn’t give a damn about immigration, and then does a lot of hand-waving involving theatrical (but doomed-to-failure) gestures like the shutdown, hoping to convince the rubes of his sincerity. The reason Trump’s numbers are down is because not every single Trump voter considers Trump his personal best friend or his favorite uncle - this voter category is looking for results, not excuses.

The idea that voters who demand results are arrogant defeatists is nothing short of amusing. Maybe that should be Trump’s 2020 campaign slogan - vote Trump to show you’re not an arrogant defeatist. That should work about as well as Hillary calling GOP voters deplorables.

As a local Republican county party chair, I’d sure like to see more people getting off their couches and coming to party meetings and helping reform the party.

Amazing, you have it all figured out, even Trump not running in the 2020 election. Incredible.

Who do ya think Trump supporters should get behind if Trump bails out?

If Trump bails, I would re-enact Fred Astaire’s final scene from “On The Beach.”
