Wow. Thank God she let go.
Yes, very much so.
She wound up with a few stitches.
So if we kill runners and smoke them, we’ll get high and we can satiate the munchies with longpig.
Runner’s high?
I think it’s more like oxygen deprivation where you’re not taking as much oxygen in as you are burning.
I ran track in high school. Once the pain in my side went away I shifted into that runners high and I could run for hours. It is kind of euphoric.
Runner’s World has been just another of those chick magazines for years now. Worthless for serious runners.
Running is stupid
Mountain biking is it !

Running is stupid.
I can get there way faster in my car and I won’t spill my beer doing it.
Don’t think I get a runner’s high, but I ALWAYS experience a better mood and energy boost from a mile of interval walking-running on treadmill. Started doing this a couple of years ago when I was 80.
Have no health problems. Everything works and nothing hurts....I don’t believe that would be true if I stopped exercising.
I think they are way off base with this. Runners high, second wind, etc. when it really happens is actually your body switching into survival mode. I have this response on an exceltionally strong level. The response is the bodies release of natural pain killers in order to keep going. It varies from person to person. Due I believe to illness as a child I have this response on an exceptionally strong level.
” All I got was worn out and sore.”
Don’t tell anyone, but that is the runners high.
LOL
Like I said, the rush came from winning-that happened often enough, not always, in a race that was 400 meters or less ;-). A college teammate (distance runner) once asked the team why sprinters were usually so arrogant. What I didn’t say out loud was that we knew that everyone always watched our entire race. Don’t worry about me...I had plenty of confidence in my average abilities:-).
It’s just that I was below average in distance running and my ego took a beating. Therefore, no rush.
Most runners I see don’t look happy when they are running. Most look tired, in agony or grim. I guess the select few get runners high.
I never said it was wise to ingest THC, which nowadays is made in concentrations roughly 100 times what it was in the 1960s. I’m just riffing on the fact that our bodies produce similar chemicals at times.
I’ve felt dopey after running, too, and sometimes, a feeling of accomplishment, but typically I don’t get “high” while running.
Ive eaten it many s time
My new rule is not eating shiite over 10 mph
Thanks though !
Cheers.
