Christian athlete, author, sports broadcaster and movie producer Tim Tebow is now officially an engaged man.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, the Heisman Trophy winner proposed to his girlfriend and 2017 Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters on Wednesday.
The pair were visiting the Minor League baseball player’s family farm in Jacksonville, Florida when he decided to pop the question.
PEOPLE reports that the couple went for a walk by a small lake on his family’s property where Tebow had an arbor and bench – engraved with the day of the couple’s first date – installed.
The magazine reports that Tebow also had South African singer Matthew Mole hidden behind a hay bale and ready to serenade the newly engaged couple. After Nel-Peters said yes to marrying the former NFL Quarter Back, Mole emerged from behind the hay bale and sang “The Wedding Song” for the couple.
The pair was then joined by their family members. Tebow had flown Nel-Peters' family and friends in from South Africa as a surprise for his soon to be wife.
Thursday afternoon Nel-Peters posted a series of photos capturing the moment on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote, “Any dreams I’ve ever had, you’ve exceeded them all! I love you and I can’t wait to spend forever with you!”
Good man. I am sure he chose carefully.

Because I always make sure there is a camera around when I do deep meaningful things in my life... Sure she’s a fine person, but this everything has to be on film nonsense... Sorry... not a fan of it.

No, he actually flew her parents in secretly to her, knowing that he was going to do this, and the photos were taken by the family from a distance. The ring photo was a little later.
I agree...Tebow seems pretty real to me...
You don’t have to be able to throw a ball, run and jump or fall down or sing to be “swimming in women.”
