Today's Cryptogram

Today's Cryptogram:

ELKLS TECLSSMOC DQMS LELFD JNLE NL TR FVYTEA V FTRCVYL. EVOQGLQE ZQEVOVSCL

Interesting little quote. The 1st and 5th words have the same repeating letters.

Solution to our last puzzle is in the first reply below.

Please don’t post a “spoiler” solution in the general posting, but you can post it in my private reply.

Feel free to offer the group the time it took you to solve the puzzle and any tips you have on solving these.

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications, unfortunately they are copyrighted so we can't use them here. So, we're just going to make up our own.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter.

For example:

AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram)

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

Send me a private reply if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste to Hal's Helper Link:

It’s easier to work on it without having to use your pencil.

Solution to our last puzzle:

I felt that way at first but try for a week. You get tricks or patterns to try. Took me 10 min today. A single letter can only be A or I, the most or second most frequent letter is an e and then start looking at the smaller words and guessing what they might be: where, there, they are frequently used. When you guess look at the other places the letters fill in, some are not compatible with words so you change those guesses.

4 min but the phone slows me down; my finger hits the wrong substitute letter and I have to undo it.

Yes, I agree.

Wow! Woke up this morning and we hear that:

1. Trump instructing the ACOE to figure out how to get the wall done and paid for.
2. Ruth Ginsburg may be retiring.
3. Democrats and media are falling all over themselves trying to bring our president down, but he seems to be clearly locked in place.
4. China showing signs of working a deal

Things are moving along...

I’ll take you off the list, but please try going back to the puzzle. These are tough and intimidating at first.

I’ll send you a couple hints via private reply.
