Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) is firing back at Christian Bale after the actor said during a Golden Globes acceptance speech that Satan inspired him when he played her father, Dick Cheney.
While accepting an award in the “Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy” category late Sunday, the “Vice” star said to laughs from the crowd, “Thank you to Satan for giving me inspiration on how to play this role.”
A chuckling Bale also blasted Dick Cheney and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) as “charisma-free [expletive]” during his fiery remarks.
After the awards ceremony, Liz Cheney, 52, hit back at the actor in a tweet:

Liz Cheney included a link to a 2008 news report that Bale was questioned by police in Britain about an alleged assault against his mother and sister.
Bale denied any assault allegations at the time and British authorities did not pursue charges against the "Dark Knight" star, citing “insufficient evidence.”
I was going to say, “Satan inspired” cuts both ways. He listening to Satan now?

Thankfully, I’m blissfully ignorant about who this person is.
WELL, he’s a terrific actor, one of the best out there. See the recent movie “Hostiles”——I think here he was playing to the crowd (obviously) and I don’t know why he dragged Mitch McConnell into it. Interestingly, not too long ago, he had a lot of good things to say about Cheney— he may have had his eyes opened by the experience of doing the character. Better to dump on Cheney than the usual Hollywood BS of dumping on Trump-— even people connected to Bastions of Liberalism like the NY Times and NBC are getting sick and tired of seeing the relentless dishonesty, idiocy and cowardice and are finding it embarrassing to be associated with.
He was 'The Dark Knight' (Batman) in the last three Batman movies.
In my opinion he’s a great actor and a terrible person.

He is correct that dick Cheney was an evil POS. Said he couldn’t be bothered to serve during Vietnam because he had other priorities. Like none of the other 58,000 men who died there had other priorities.
And Dick Cheney has come out against Trump and Mexico, against the border wall, and against the travel ban from Islamic countries using the phrase the Democrats love “that’s not who we are”. He never met a Sunni Muslim he didn’t like.
I’ll never understand why Republicans are so enamored with this low life Chicken hawk former director of the CFR who let women into combat arms appease his lesbian daughter. He also enviscerated the Navy after tail hook drama.
Maybe you don’t need to channel Satan to play Cheney, but you sure wouldn’t channel one of the founding fathers to play him better.

Go ahead and defend Bush and Cheney, I’m not surprised in the least. They’re the very definition of the GOPe. The GOPestabhment knows they can always abandon and double cross conservatives without suffering repercussions, because sheep like you will follow them and defend them no matter what they do.
