I wondered about that. I spent a J - term in Ireland while in college and The Princess Bride immediately came to mind when we arrived at The Cliffs of Moher.
Our professors warned us ahead of time to be extremely careful as wind gusts have knocked people over the edge. I stayed behind the short rock wall.
I think there was an episode of F Troop where one of the indians says, “He fly real good, but he land real bad.”
Been there too. Awesome view. I was smart enough to stay safe. Very windy and edge unstable. Ireland is a wonderful place.
I can fly in flimsy light planes and it doesnt bother me. But get me near the edge of a cliff with nothing in front of me and I back away.

I had two guys who worked for me who were in the Air National Guard. They flew around the world and stuff.
Both were afraid to be on top of two stacks of scaffolding.
The Cliffs of Moher are featured at the end of the film "Leap Year" (2010), starring Amy Adams and British actor Matthew Goode.

The Cliffs scare me to death.I saw a small path going along the edge and then it just veered to the sea and ended. While we were there three teenagers sat on the edge dangling their feet.An American woman fell off that day and the boat of Doolin was called out.Awful.
It’s sad how addicted people are to their phones and taking selfies.
You’d have to have bats in your Belfry!
I also visited the Cliffs of Moher. The day I was there, it was pouring rain and the wind was blowing so hard, there was no way I was going up that hill. I know I missed an opportunity, but, like you, I can’t stand heights, so I probably wouldn’t have gone anyway. (Didn’t kiss the Blarney Stone, either!)
Obama loves taking selfies. I guess we can hope.
Did he get the shot?
Ban phones!
Dumb. RIP.
Within 30 miles of me are several deep large fresh water springs. I think just about all of them have had divers drown in them.
One of them, Morrison Springs has had something like 30 divers drown deep in the caves. Some over 300 feet deep.
To me going down into those caves would be absolute terror. Why do people do that?

Visited the cliffs over 30 years ago. Even then I was too scared to walk on them. So so windy.
My daughter did the Blarney Stone. I just couldnt.
